Tiger Cub Den Leader is a registered volunteer BSA position. Every Tiger Den is required to have a registered den leader whose responsibilities are:

Work directly with other den and pack leaders to ensure that their den is an active and successful part of the pack.

Coordinate shared leadership among the Tiger Cub adult partners, ensuring that den meetings and outings are planned, prepared for, and conducted by all adult partners on a rotating basis, and that the den activities provide advancement opportunities for the boys in the den.
Attend pack leaders' meetings.

Lead the den at the monthly meeting and pack activities.

Ensure the transition of boys in the Tiger Cub den into a Wolf den at the end of the year

Den meetings usually consist of flag ceremony, activities (according to the Rank Achievement Requirements) and snacks. Den Meetings usually last about 1 hours and is held once a month for Pack371 Dens.

As part of the cub scouting experience, tiger cubs are required to make "go sees" trips, to acquire various life skills. The firefighter of Station 9 was introducing the fire truck to the cubs.

As part of the Tiger rank achievement, tiger den cubs visited San Jose NBC Station to learn how mass communication is done.

NASA’s journeys into air and space have deepened humankind’s understanding of the universe, advanced technology, and expanded the frontiers of scientific research. Cubs learned about Apollo landing, moon topography and space travel there.

A Visit to the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police station

The members of the police department work hard to provide a full range of services to residents, including educating the youth. The cubs got a tour of the state and climbed into the police car for a ride.

Cubs went to the municipal stadium in San Jose watch the baseball game.

Cub went on a hiking trip at Villa Montalvo. Montalvo is nestled in the beautiful foothills above Saratoga with 175 acres of hiking trails and gardens.

Cubs learned the importance of public service from San Jose city councilman Pete Constant and toured the newly built city hall. The building was designed to be environmentally friendly, making use of natural light.

The cubs observed top-notch chefs making dishes and desserts. The Professional Culinary Institute provides training in Culinary or Baking & Pastry Arts, or as a professional wine expert or in hotel/restaurant management.
